Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder

Understanding Your Brain. Building Your Strengths.

When my son received a diagnosis, I delved into extensive research to comprehend his condition. Ironically, I was later diagnosed with the same condition myself. Regretfully, I wish I had received this diagnosis earlier in my life. It could have saved me a significant amount of time and stress. Consequently, I became determined to acquire as much knowledge as possible to better understand its advantages and how to navigate within its limitations.

ADHD affects far more than attention.

It can impact:

  • Organization

  • Emotional regulation

  • Relationships

  • Time management

  • Motivation

  • Self-esteem

ADHD counseling helps individuals manage challenges related to focus, impulsivity, and organization. Counselors provide practical strategies, structure, and skill-building techniques to improve daily functioning at school, work, and home. This service also addresses emotional challenges such as low self-esteem or frustration, helping clients build confidence and develop healthier habits.

As an ADHD Assessment & Treatment Certified provider (ADHD-PT®), I offer evidence-informed assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

Together we can identify challenges, build practical strategies, and learn how to work with your brain rather than against it.

Assessment Services

Many adults and adolescents struggle with focus, organization, procrastination, emotional overwhelm, forgetfulness, and difficulty completing tasks without realizing that ADHD may be contributing to these challenges.

At Rooted & Bloom Counseling, we offer a comprehensive ADHD assessment process designed to help individuals better understand their strengths, challenges, and treatment needs.

Our evaluation process includes:

  • Clinical interview

  • Review of developmental, educational, and mental health history

  • Standardized ADHD rating scales

  • Executive functioning assessment

  • Screening for anxiety, depression, trauma, and other factors that may impact concentration

  • Written diagnostic summary and recommendations

  • Feedback session to review results

Following the assessment, clients receive personalized recommendations for treatment, accommodations, coaching, and ongoing counseling support.
